Startup Quest® strengthens communities by growing startup ecosystems and creating new pathways for employment and self-employment. 81% of participants in the 2013 Gainesville cohort have become employed or self-employed.
The 2011 pilot program involving 83 participants was formed by collaborations with partners including CareerSource North Central Florida (formerly FloridaWorks), University of Florida Office of Technology Licensing, Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce, 14 entrepreneurs and 12 investors.
Startup Quest® is funded with a $12 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor and includes eight workforce investment regions in Florida. Startup Quest® requires all applicants to go through a third-party selection process for acceptance into the program, which has a limited capacity. The program is offered at no cost to participants.
Reserve your seat today at the Introductory Workshop today online at SQGNV.eventbrite.com. Attendees will hear from past mentors and participants, as well as key organizations involved in building the innovation community.
